Exploring the Hedge Fund 2.0 with Dr. George Namur
In this session, we asked George about his experience in the investment industry, the rationale behind starting his own Asset Management firm, how the hedge fund space has changed from old-school strategies such as L/S Equity to emerging trends such as ESG investing, and how can portfolio managers adapt and maintain their Alpha in this ever-changing climate.
Dr. Namur is the Founder of Namur Capital Management and Senior Teaching Fellow at UCL. He has 20 years of broad experience in all aspects of financial markets across asset classes, from equities to fixed income to commodities to currencies, and across roles, from trading to wealth and portfolio management to structuring to advising to risk management. Dr. Namur specializes in derivatives which he uses to skew portfolio risk-reward characteristics.
